Dr. Jenine Lowery created thirty-four discussion topics to help build a stronger adult-child relationship; 30 days of journaling and four additional questions related to the Black experience are found at the end of the journal. Adults are encouraged to write or discuss their answers; children can choose to write, talk, or draw. All relationships, including those we have with children, can use a tune-up every once in a while. We can build a better relationship with children before things go wrong.

Dr. Jenine Lowery is a licensed therapist who has worked with clients with relationship concerns from ages 2 to 82. She started her career as a social worker, working with families, particularly women and children experiencing hardship.
